Your use of Comic Rank (comicrank.com and it's partners) is bound by the following terms of service. Any violation of terms may result in immediate deactivation and removal of your data on Comic Rank, with or without notification as well as denial of access to any Comic Rank services.

Despite our best efforts for keeping your visit safe and pleasant Comic Rank assumes no responsibility for the materials provided on any site that is linked to this Website, regardless of whether or not it is an affiliated or third party site. Any entry to a linked site is made at your own risk.
Your data on Comic Rank
At points in the Comic Rank service you may be able to upload data, images or files for use with your comic (e.g. your banner image). All data uploaded to the Comic Rank system including, but not limited to, text, images and files, must adhere to the folowing policy. Additionally, any content you link to from Comic Rank, including hyperlinks of any protocol, must also adhere to the following policy.
You must NOT use this service:
- for any unlawful purposes;
- to distribute any material that is obscene, offensive, unlawful, threatening, menacing, abusive, harmful, an invasion of privacy or publicity rights, defamatory, libelous, vulgar, illegal or otherwise objectionable;
- to distribute any material that infringes any copyright, trade mark, patent or other intellectual property right or any moral right or artist's right of any third party;
- to harm minors in any way, including, but not limited to, distributing content that violates child pornography laws, child sexual exploitation laws or laws prohibiting the depiction of minors engaged in sexual conduct, or submitting any personally identifiable information about any child under the age of 13;
At points where you can include URLs on Comic Rank the websites that you link to must be owned by you and adhere to these service rules.
As with the rest of the site the data service is provided as is. We will not be held accountable for loss of data from the Comic Rank server. This is not a storage service and you should always keep backups.
Terms of the Comic Rank button
The Comic Rank button is an image you are given to put on your webcomic site to track your readers. It is required to be displayed on the site of all comics registered with Comic Rank.
You are given the ability to modify the Comic Rank button code, which is auto-generated for you, to better fit it into your website. However, when placing your Comic Rank button it must adhere to the following rules:
The Comic Rank button:
- must, when clicked, send the user directly to either http://comicrank.com/ or http://comicrank.com/ID/in, where ID is the Comic Rank ID of your webcomic;
- must be displayed in a PROMINANT, VISIBLE place on your website, but without implication that Comic Rank endorces your website;
- must NOT be obscured, cropped, resized, or otherwise deformed on the page. The only exceptions to this rule are a change of Hue (NOT saturation or brightness), and any opacity higher than 0.7;
Terms of comic banner images
Comic Rank allows you to promote your comic with a banner image, these images must adhere to all Comic Rank data terms as well as the following:
The banner must NOT:
- contain or insinuate material of a sexual nature. Either in image or text;
- overly distract attention from the surrounding site with the use of extremely bright colours, flashing images, or other;
- include misleading information about the comic it is promoting or include advertisements for unrelated services;
Disclaimer of Warranty
There is no warrenty for the service, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Except when otherwise stated in writing the copyright holders and/or other parties provide the service "as is" without warrenty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability
In no event unless required by applicable law or agreed to in writing will any copyright holder be liable to you for damages, including any general, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the service (including but not limited to loss of data or data being rendered innacurate or losses sustained by you or third parties or a failure of the service to operate with any other programs), even if such holder or other party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Ammendment of terms
