"Prepare to Die" is the story of three roleplayers who become trapped in a world of their own creation. Exceeding 1,000 strips in length, this is a long and complex story filled with witty banter, random acts of geekness, and a dark sinister plot hiding in the shadows.

As our three Players travel to try and find a way home, the reader is introduced into a vast world known simply as The Lands. A large portion of The Lands is controlled by an empire ruled by a man known as The Carlson, who is reputed to be the decendant of Carl, a legendary figure who saved The Lands from the bickering among the Three Gods. In resistance to the ever-expanding borders of The Carlson's Empire live the 'Followers of Order' and 'The Followers of Chaos', two semi-religous groups who are slowly but surely rekindeling the old rivalries between The Gods.

There also seems to be another presence in The Lands, a malevolent force bent on subverting not only the peace of The Lands, but the integrity of the roleplaying campaign itself. The balance of power in this secret battle against these shadowy invaders is centered around a mysterious twenty-sided die.
